nice. did you do all that in illustrator?
Probably 90% of it was. All of the scroll work is manual vector work. Some of the effects like the scroll cracks and velvet background were done in Photoshop but the bills themselves were all done in Illustrator. The paper texture was done in Photoshop and then converted to an Illustrator paper swatch so I could use it as a fill for the different objects I created.

The guilloche pattern on the bills was created with the securidesign plugin [link] for CorelDraw. It was imported into Illustrator and then masked to fit the bill design. The files sizes for the front and back were so big I had to save them out as jpegs for the final frame design.

Glad you like it. For an even bigger view check out my gallery at [link]

If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did.
cool. may i ask why did you use corel draw to create the scuridesign? can it be done in illustrator or freehand? im very interested to learn about making those neat patterns!
I tried using the transform effect tool in Illustrator but it was hard to constrain the pattern to a specific shape. The securidesign plugin lets you set the pattern between two closed paths so it looked more like the currency designs. You could still probably do it Illustrator with an envelope distort but the Corel plugin was way more flexible as far as the design. With it you can set the number of rows and columns and the frequency and shape of the waves. You can even have separate colors for each column or row if you want.

Thanks for the fav! Glad you liked it.
