I'm just a huge fan of this show and I really wanted a nice original desktop wallpaper so this weekend I made one myself.
The star field was harder than I thought it would be but I learned a few new tricks. I added a few things to the standard logo to make it my own. The Vipers models are from Zoic Studios [link] What an awesome special effects company! The rest was a combination of some Illustrator work combined with Photoshop. Enjoy! Edit: I changed a few things to my liking. I decided I didn't like the wood grain and stars so I changed the wood grain and color and added a back bevel. I also changed the number of stars to reflect the twelve colonies instead of some number I picked at random. I also raised the signature so the windows task bar didn't cover it up. |
